Our Grounds
The Farm is meant for walking. Stroll our path to our rustic Cove Cabin. Sit a moment to admire Mount Hope Bridge. And don’t head home without saying hello to our farm animals. Mount Hope Farm is a perfect destination whenever you want to spend time enjoying nature as it transforms through the seasons. Depending on when you visit, you may find snow-laden trees, budding gardens, sailboats on the Bay or colorful autumn leaves. Each exploration of our 127-acres will acquaint you with new vistas and aspects of the Farm.
As you explore our upper property you will find our Governor Bradford House, built in 1745, and its tiered gardens in the rear. Our two other Inn buildings – North Pasture Guest House and South Pasture Guest House – are nearby. Behind our Civil War-era Barn, you’ll find our farm animals. Our North Pasture includes our Growing 4 Good Garden, while our South Pasture is the summer home of our weekly Farmers Market.
We invite you to walk the paved roadway by our ponds and future Celebration Grove to the shore of Mount Hope Bay where you will find our rustic Cove Cabin, a popular venue for weddings and other celebrations. This walk is about one mile each way and there are opportunities to stop, sit and enjoy the Farm’s beauty.
