We love our volunteers!
Our volunteers bring a wide range of talents to the Farm. Some help us with our farm animals. Others enhance the beauty of our gardens and help us grow produce for the East Bay Food Pantry. Property and building maintenance, administrative support, event management … the opportunities abound.
Animal Care and Maintenance Volunteers:
Animal Care volunteers are Energetic animal-loving volunteers that clean the paddocks, wash water and feed buckets, clean the barn interior, brush the donkeys and the goats. Hugs, kisses and scratches are a bonus of the job!
Days and Times Needed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings 9 am - 12 am (year round)
Age Requirements: 18 years and older
Growing for Good Garden Volunteers:
Help our URI Master Gardeners maintain the Growing for Good Garden which donates over 2 tons of produce to the East Bay Food Pantry each year!
Days and Times Needed: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings from 9 am - 12 pm (April - November)
General Garden Volunteers:
Maintaining our flower and herb gardens across the property is hard work. We are looking for volunteers who have knowledge of gardening; ability to identify or easily learn what to weed/not weed, knowledge of pruning, how to remove dead-heads, etc.
Days and Times Needed: weekdays and weekends (after training) at least one hour between 9 am to 3 pm
Age Requirements: 18 years and older
Farmers Market Volunteers:
It takes a lot of preparation to organize and run our weekly farmers market. Join the team and help to set up and breakdown, answer customer questions, and facilitate our Farm Fresh SNAP Program
Days and Times Needed: Saturday 8 am-12:30 pm
Age Requirements: 15 years and older
